On Monday, April 12, the Hindu American Foundation (HAF) and StandWithUs (SWU) hosted a virtual event called “Indo-Judaic Ties: Ancient Cultures, Common Challenges, Modern Miracles.” Nearly 300 members of the Jewish and Hindu American communities from across the country attended the ceremony.
Mihir Meghani, HAF Co-Founder and Board Member, gave the introductory remarks, which were followed by a moderated discussion chaired by Peggy Shapiro, Executive Director of StandWithUs Midwest.
“For many years, I’ve collaborated with the Hindu-American community on programming. I’m always amazed by how much our communities share in terms of history and ideals, and I’m encouraged by what India and Israel, Jews and Hindus, can do when we work together in friendship and understanding.”
