Join Havurah on The Hill for a fantastic, lay-led Kabbalat Shabbat service at the Museum of African American History. Lauren Pyes will speak about her travel to India with JCP and Project Inspire, as well as her interactions with the Indian Jewish community.
India’s Jewish community is small but powerful. Mumbai is a dynamic city with a population of over 21 million people that has been quietly molded by Jewish citizens. This is a tradition that is being carried on today by Mumbai’s enthusiastic Jewish citizens and Israel-based assistance organizations, rather than by prominent families who have their names on buildings.
