People in charge of the Succath Shelomo Synagogue are trying to get the small Jewish community there to come out and celebrate on January 26.
People in Pune say that even though the Bene Israel community is getting smaller, it still takes pride in being “Indian.” On the Republic and Independence days, the community raises tricolor to show its “sense of patriotism.”
With Republic Day just around the corner, the office-bearers of the Succath Shelomo Synagogue are pleading with the small Jewish community there to come out and celebrate on January 26.
