Due to public safety concerns over the coronavirus, the Commonwealth Club has canceled this event. Please note that this event will take place at San Francisco’s Commonwealth Club. Our esteemed panelists will address the connections between Israel, India, and Berkeley, as evidenced by the Magnes Collection of Jewish Art and Life’s exquisite collection of Indian Jewish antiquities. Matan Zamir, Deputy Consul General and a former resident of Mumbai will speak about his experiences. The little-known truth that Jews have lived in India for thousands of years will also be highlighted, as will the fact that approximately 80,000 Indian Jews currently reside in Israel.
