SWEET & SOUR CHICKEN IN ONION SAUCE: A DELICIOUS RECIPE FROM THE BAGHDADI JEWS OF INDIA

I’m just dropping by to share one of my all-time favorite recipes, which comes from India’s Baghdadi Jews. Are there Jews in India? Yes! In truth, Jewish communities have been in India since 76 CE, shortly after the Second Temple in Jerusalem was destroyed, as well as Jews who later came to India from other nations such as Iraq. The Sasson family is a well-known Indian Baghdadi Jewish family. Vidal, I’m sure you’ve all heard of him. This is just a fun fact with nothing to do with a chicken recipe.

I believe this is one of those recipes that will be delicious regardless of whether you follow the instructions to the letter or have all of the spices on hand. It also freezes well! The most important thing is to use a lot of onions; else, it would be bland.
